It's an oasis of serenity with plenty to do in the surrounds. Here at our self catering cottage you could enjoy your own splash pool, walks, canoeing, bird-watching or fishing for trout or bass on the large dam (B.Y.O. rod). Alternatively you may wish to explore the arts and crafts centres or one of the many activities available here in the neighbourhood.

Local places of interest include the Anglo/Boer War battlefield sites, Winston Churchill's ambush and capture site, Bushman paintings, the Drakensberg Boys Choir, a weaving workshop, cermaic studio and a Bird of Prey rehabilitation centre - all just a short drive from Shiriba.
 

Special Features

From ground level double doors open out to the braai and splash pool vista and the deck invites you for sundowners, whilst the evening dam life puts on the entertainment. A shaded car port solves the sun or hail problems and next to the deck is a canoe for those who want to get closer to the action.

Also available in the area is tennis, fishing and for the daring - clay pigeon shooting, white-water rafting, quad biking, abseiling etc. For walkers, hiking is of course synonymous with the Berg. Horse lovers have a choice of places to ride; one being Spionkop reserve (20 mins from Shiriba) where one can ride amongst the giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and rhino - or perhaps a quiet drive for those who prefer to steer themselves.
